Singer from Timor Leste, Gerson de Oliveira appeared to entertain the entire Indonesian/RDTL border community, at the Border Music Concert, which was organized by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia in the border area of Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, which was held for two days, 8 and 9 March 2019.
Gerson was present as a guest star on the first day, namely in a band competition activity, which is included in a series of concert events.
Despite his background as a dangdut singer, the man born in Timor Leste in 1990, sings seven pop songs in Indonesian and Tetun Timor perfectly.
On that occasion, he also expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and all parties who have supported the organization of the concert.
“I am happy to be in Atambua for this concert. Therefore, on behalf of myself, I would like to thank the Ministry of Tourism for organizing this activity,” said Gershon in Atambua, Friday (8/3/2018) night.
When performing, the singer who graduated from the Asian Academy of Dangdut was greeted by cheers from the audience when he sang his first song entitled “Hau Peresija Hosi O”.
Although previously the Atambua city area was raining, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the audience from Indonesia and Timor Leste to watch the concert until it was over.
