The current globalized Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the tourism industry. The impact of the slack in the tourism industry is also felt by the business sector engaged in hotels and restaurants in the Belu Regency area. Saturday, (21/8/2021).
This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Belu Regency Tourism Office. Yasinta Bria told rri.co.id.
According to Yasinta, since the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a drastic decline in tourist visits, both foreign and domestic, to Belu Regency as a border area. In 2019 tourist visits to Belu Regency were still quite high but on the way from 2020 to 2021 there was a significant decline.

Especially since Fulan Fehan was included in the Indonesian charm award in 2020. This is a homework for the Tourism Office, how to maintain the characteristics and uniqueness of Fulan Fehan, “he said.
This effort was carried out by forming a tourism promotion team for Belu Regency. The team formed works to promote tourism in the Belu region.
“Every week they produce content related to tourism destinations and other creative economic activities. This effort is carried out to revive the tourism sector in Belu Regency,” concluded Yasinta Bria
