The village tourism sector is one of the programs that the Umaklaran Village Government of Belu Regency has begun to look into.<\/p>\n
This is in view of the potential source of water for the Haliwen Dam in the local village, if managed properly it can provide added economic value for the villagers.<\/p>\n
“In 2018, our Village Fund Allocation (ADD) has built water tourism. Lopo umbrella house around the Haliwen Dam location. Yes, there are positive impacts, of course, every Saturday and Sunday, Atambua residents start to visit a lot,” said Umaklaran Village Secretary Donatus Asa Buti, Monday (26\/8\/2019).<\/p>\n
A number of infrastructure facilities were built, umbrella houses and recreational facilities where there are several units of rowing ducks at the dam location that residents can use when traveling.<\/p>\n
Of course, it adds a special attraction especially for young people as well as children who happen to want to try by coming to the Fatukutun irrigation water tourism location, Umaklaran Village, Atambua border, every weekend.<\/p>\n
