Makassar, 21 Juni 2025 \u2014 Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar kembali menunjukkan komitmennya dalam mendorong pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan melalui penyelenggaraan Seminar Nasional Expanding MICE and Hospitality for Sustainable Tourism (EMHOST) 2025. Kegiatan ini digelar pada Sabtu (21\/6\/2025) secara luring dan daring di Balairung I Wayan Bendhi, dan dibuka secara resmi oleh Amiruddin Hamzah, Surya Dewi, serta Wakil Direktur II Poltekpar Makassar, Dr. Ahmad AB<\/p>\n
Seminar ini menghadirkan pembicara dari berbagai latar belakang keahlian, yaitu Dr. Ni Made Eka Mahadewi, M.Par., CHE., CEE., Prof. Dr. Aceng Gima Sugiama, S.E., M.P., Imam Syafganti, Ph.D., dan Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Pd., CHE. Mereka membahas beragam topik strategis terkait pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan destinasi MICE, pengarusutamaan praktik berkelanjutan dalam industri hospitality, serta arah kebijakan dan tantangan pariwisata berkelanjutan di Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Dalam sambutannya, Dr. Ahmad AB. menyampaikan bahwa seminar ini merupakan ruang penting untuk mempertemukan gagasan antara akademisi, praktisi, mahasiswa, dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya guna membahas isu-isu aktual di sektor pariwisata. Ia juga menyampaikan rasa bangganya atas inisiatif mahasiswa Program Studi Event and Convention Management sebagai penyelenggara acara.<\/p>\n
\u201cSaya merasa bangga karena kegiatan ini digagas dan diselenggarakan oleh mahasiswa, sebagai bentuk aktualisasi pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada praktik nyata dan kolaborasi lintas sektor. Dengan menghadirkan narasumber kompeten dan tema yang relevan, saya berharap EMHOST bisa menjadi ruang lahirnya ide, inovasi, dan sinergi baru untuk kemajuan pariwisata Indonesia,\u201d ujar Dr. Ahmad.<\/p>\n
Seminar Nasional EMHOST 2025 diikuti ratusan peserta dari seluruh Indonesia, terdiri atas kalangan akademisi, pelaku industri, dan mahasiswa dari berbagai perguruan tinggi. Antusiasme peserta terlihat sepanjang sesi, baik dari peserta luring yang hadir langsung di kampus Poltekpar Makassar, maupun peserta daring melalui platform digital.<\/p>\n
Kegiatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa kolaborasi lintas sektor dan kepedulian terhadap prinsip keberlanjutan dapat dimulai dari lingkungan pendidikan. EMHOST 2025 tidak hanya menjadi forum akademik, tetapi juga ruang inspiratif yang memperkuat peran generasi muda dalam membawa industri pariwisata menuju arah yang lebih tangguh, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan.<\/p>\n

THE 2025 EMHOST NATIONAL SEMINAR DISCUSSES <\/strong><\/p>\n THE REINFORCEMENT OF MICE AND HOSPITALITY <\/strong><\/p>\n FOR SUSTAINABLE TOURISM<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Makassar, 21st<\/sup> June 2025 \u2014 Politeknik Pariwisata (Poltekpar) Makassar has once again demonstrated its commitment in promoting sustainable tourism development through the organisation of the 2025 EMHOST (Expanding MICE and Hospitality for Sustainable Tourism) National Seminar. The event was held on Saturday, 21st<\/sup> June 2025 in a hybrid format, both online and on-site, at Balairung I Wayan Bendhi, and was officially commenced by Amiruddin Hamzah, S.Pd., M.Hum, and Surya Dewi, M.M alongside the Deputy Director II of Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar, Dr. Ahmad AB, SE., M.Si.<\/p>\n The seminar featured guest speakers from diverse expertise, including Dr. Ni Made Eka Mahadewi, M.Par., CHE., CEE., Prof. Dr. Aceng Gima Sugiama, S.E., M.P., Imam Syafganti, Ph.D., and Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Pd., CHE. The speakers discussed a range of strategic topics related to the human source development and MICE destinations, the integration of sustainable practices within the hospitality industry, as well as the direction of sustainable tourism policy and challenges in Indonesia.<\/p>\n In his opening remarks, Dr. Ahmad AB explained that the seminar served as an important platform for bringing together ideas from academics, practitioners, students, and other stakeholders to discuss the current issues in the tourism sector. He also expressed his pride over the initiative taken by the students of the Event and Convention Management programme as the host of this seminar.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very proud because this event was initiated and organised by our students, as the embodiment of learning process that emphasises the real-world practice and cross-sector collaboration. By presenting the competence speakers and a highly relevant theme, I do hope that EMHOST could become a space where ideas, innovations, and new synergies was born to advance the tourism development in Indonesia,\u201d stated Dr. Ahmad.<\/p>\n The 2025 EMHOST National Seminar was attended by hundreds of participants from across Indonesia, including academics, industrial executives, and students from various universities. The enthusiasm was seen throughout the session, both by the participants who were present on-site at Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar and also those who were joining virtually via digital platform.<\/p>\n This activity stands as a proof that the cross-sector collaboration and a commitment towards sustainability can be started within the educational institutions. The 2025 EMHOST was not only an academic forum, but also an inspiring space that strengthened the role of the younger generation in leading the tourism industry towards a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable course.
