Take advantage of 5G Technology Connectivity to Expand Pancasila Ideology in Extraordinary New Ways
President Joko Widodo stated that revolution 4.0 technology has provided various conveniences for dialogue, interaction, and organization on a large scale across countries, such as the use of 5G technology connectivity in various countries.
“When 5G connectivity hits the world, interaction between worlds will also be easier and faster,” said the President at the Pancasila Birthday Commemoration Ceremony which took place virtually from the Pancasila Building, Tuesday (01/06/2021).
According to the Head of State, the convenience due to technological connectivity also needs to be watched out for because it can be used to spread transnational ideologies.
“Ease of technology can be used by radical transnational ideologies to penetrate all corners of Indonesia, to all circles, to all ages, even regardless of location and time,” he said.
The President reminded that the speed of expansion of radical transnational ideologies could exceed normal standards when taking advantage of technological disruption.
“Facing all this, the expansion and deepening of Pancasila values cannot be carried out in ordinary ways, extraordinary new ways are needed, taking advantage of the development of science and technology, especially the industrial revolution 4.0,” said the President.
Merdeka Digital Transformation
The Minister of Communications and Information, Johnny G. Plate, stated that in commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila, the Indonesian people reminisced about Bung Karno’s speech on June 1, 1945 which laid the foundations of state life.
“At that time, what Bung Karno repeatedly emphasized was independence, independence, and independence with the 5 principle guidelines for the life of a state that will be established,” said Minister Johnny who attended the Commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila from the Media Center Room of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics.
Responding to the President’s remarks regarding connectivity and the use of 5G technology, Minister Johnny explained, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics is tasked with liberating Indonesia and society in the era of digital transformation.
“Four days ago, the President held the first 5G in Indonesia, and the President mentioned directly that a new life will soon change with transformation, with disruption, with the development of digital technology, especially the 5th generation of telecommunications,
The Minister of Communication and Informatics invites all people to join hands together, strengthen ranks by working seriously, earnestly and intelligently, working with the spirit of liberating the Indonesian nation and filling it with the values of Pancasila or social justice.
“For that, I certainly hope that we all work hand in hand, work together to complete our task of deploying ICT infrastructure throughout the country through the deployment of 4G, and at the same time introducing our society to new 5G technology,” he said.
Minister Johnny hopes that in the era of digital transformation, an era in which the digital space is new. The Ministry of Communications and Informatics takes a leading role by ensuring the availability of fast internet services for the public to go to a connected, more digital and more advanced Indonesia.
Wearing traditional Bajawa clothes from Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, Minister Johnny attended the commemoration of Pancasila’s Birthday in a hybrid manner accompanied by all ranks of high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.
